Scholarship Interest Letters and How to Write Them
Submitted by Jenny on Tue, 02/19/2008 - 19:05.The internet has made looking for scholarships easy for students that need money for college. Simple search engines are available and with a click of the mouse, the student can apply for a plethora of loans. No longer does the student have to travel to the scholarship award location or wait on traditional mail to give the accepted or rejected letter. Scholarships can be located and a simple email can have the application to the awards committee in the blink of an eye.
This is great but how do you request scholarship information in the proper manner? A well written email will get a better response from the scholarship organization then just a quick note. You must personalize each request so that your name and your abilities are out there. Who is to say that the person receiving the email is not a judge that will review your application later? Any communication with the scholarship organization should be done with some semblance of professionalism.

Job Based Scholarships
Submitted by Jenny on Tue, 02/19/2008 - 18:55.Sometimes a student is lucky enough to find a place of employment that will pay for their tuition and school expenses. Why do companies do this? The main reason for any company to pay for your school is to keep you as an employee. The more educated you are, the more the company benefits from your degree and your skills. They can use your clout as a college graduate to push products to clients and sell their ideas with your endorsement.
Another reason companies pay tuition for their employees is to use the educational support as a benefit to draw new employees to the company. Most people cannot afford college tuition on their own and they are willing to work in a specific workplace to get it financed. Even if the job is unsavory, many people have dealt with the intolerances so that they can continue to go to school. It is that important to some people.

Cheerleading Scholarships
Submitted by Jenny on Tue, 02/19/2008 - 17:58.When looking for an athletic scholarship cheer leading sometimes gets overlooked as a serious venue. Cheerleading or fan management as some colleges phrase it, is a lucrative sport that has a world class fan base. Colleges are slowly beginning to recognize this facet and have invested money into scholarships to help the students who participate. Cheerleading scholarships are usually open to any gender and all the applicant has to prove is their ability to add to the sport.
Cheerleading has change over the decades. Years ago, cheer leading was mostly a female dominated activity that few, if any, males participated in. Their job was to rally the fans to cheer their team to victory. Today cheerleading squads are not only required to charge up the fans, but acrobatics, dancing, and choreography is a big part of the sport. Sports fans will not settle for a lame cheer leading squad. They want a show.
