Scholarship and Grant Programs Available in Alabama
Half the work is done when an individual has finally been accepted to that University or community college in-state. Now the only problem is finding a way to pay for it. Too bad money doesn't just fall off trees; it would definitely make life a little easier for everyone. Some states recognize this financial issue and give their assistance to the student by offering various scholarships. This is exactly what the state of Alabama does, it assists their student population.
So what exactly is so great about living in Alabama if you're a student? By just living in Alabama or attending school there, an individual might just be eligible for financial assistance on that merit alone. What I am talking about is the Alabama student grant program or ASGP. This is a program offered by the state that grants $360 per year to full-time undergraduate students and $180 per year to part-time students. The only basic requirement for this off her is that you be a legal resident of Alabama entered in an approved independent college or university within the state of Alabama. This is nice for those students that don't necessarily have to drive or enthusiasm to apply for dozens of scholarships, it's basically guaranteed.

The Jay Murphy scholarship is in place to award funding to those who wish to attend a postsecondary institution to pursue a degree in teaching.
The Charles E Alexander Transportation Engineering Scholarship is designed to award funds to those students seeking to gain their education in specific transportation engineering fields. Keep in mind that for both of these scholarships, there are certain rules and guidelines that apply.
